The base profile, which provides a stable basis for the system, consists of an aluminum plate with a horizontal rail system used to guide the cover profiles. Each rail is equivalent to a grid height measuring 21 mm as standard. The base profile can be made in any height within this grid. For smaller systems, such as elevator signs, there is a small grid available, which is based on a grid height of 10.5 mm. The  base profile is flat on the reverse and already has holes, allowing easy fastening by screw or adhesive.

The horizontal rail system is continuous and can be customized to any width. Even though custom width dimensions are always possible, the system here is also based on a standard grid size of 52.5 mm.

The cover profiles also work in the same grid system as the base profile. Thanks to a precise dovetail guide, the cover profiles can slide horizontally onto the rail system of the base profile and be combined in any grid widths and heights. A high level of precision means that even the cover profiles of the standard grid (21 mm) can be integrated on a small-grid base profile.

The cover profiles, made of aluminum, are sanded horizontally to create a special hairline finish. They come in a choice of natural anodized, black, bronze or gold anodized, or unfinished (for coating). For customers who are not so keen on aluminum, there are also stainless steel-look aluminum profiles available to give the system a stainless steel look.

In addition, cover profiles are available with paper insert (21 or 42 mm in height), enabling the relabeling of individual inserts whenever required. For larger labeling surfaces, there are frame profiles for large sections with paper inserts protected by plexiglas or PVC covers. There are no limits to your creativity.

A selection of side end caps is available for vertical closure  of the system. The claw fasteners engage in the rail system and prevent the cover profiles from coming out. There are various options, including concealed end caps, subtle T-type end caps, and 5 to 10 mm wide end caps for a distinctive finish. Although a key is not absolutely necessary for opening, a red triangular key can be added to the order as an opening aid.

If protection against unauthorized opening or tampering is required, the Infonorm System offers two options for vandalism protection. In the case of the popular spring lock, the end caps are blocked by a spring on the base profile. It is not possible to press back the spring and unlock the end cap  without the correct key. The second option is a threadlocker, where the end cap is blocked by a screw.
